All indications are that Congress will eventually get around to approving the sale and use of those jumbo ammunition clips that will take the boredom out of reloading hand guns. We can thank the NRA and our government for protecting our God-given rights under the Constitution of the United States of America .
While this is well and good for hunters with their assault rifles and the target shooters with their automatic pistols, how about the fishermen?
When I was in the Navy on a PT boat in the South Pacific during World War II, our cook would often fix us a meal using fresh fish instead of the usual K-rations or canned meat. He would casually drop a hand grenade over the side, and you would be amazed at the wide variety of fish that came floating belly up!
I propose that our government legalize the sale and use of hand grenades in support of fishermen. After all, Missouri is one of the very few states that has legalized grenade launchers, so we are already on our way!
For one thing, obtaining a concealed carry permit for hand grenades would be fairly simple. Hardly any special qualifying training would be necessary. All you have to do with a grenade is pull that little pin, and boom! One word of caution. Always be sure that you are in deep enough water so you don’t run the risk of blowing up your boat.
The only problem I see is that some eager hunter may try to bag a wild turkey with a hand grenade since aiming an assault rifle at one of those wily creatures is very difficult.
